The brutal killings of two Kansas moms sent shock waves across Kansas and Oklahoma and raised serious questions against law enforcement agencies. Now, a 5th suspect was apprehended by the authorities in relation to the killings.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were last seen together in a car that was later found parked by the side of the road in a rural area of Texas County, Oklahoma.

There have been four arrests and charges of murder in Oklahoma in relation to the missing of two women.

The fifth suspect arrested is identified as Paul Grice. The 31-year-old was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to murder in the first degree. He was taken and booked into the Texas County Jail.

The police nabbed Tad Bert Cullum, 43, Tifany Machel Adams, 54, Cole Earl Twombly, 50, and Cora Twombly, 44, on Saturday and charged them with two counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping and one count of planning to commit first-degree murder, the police said. All these 4 suspects did not resist their arrests. They were charged with two counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping and one count of planning to commit first-degree murder.

Adams and Butler were embroiled in a custody fight, and an unsealed document states that Adams is the paternal grandmother of Butler’s children. As stated in the affidavit, Callum and Adams were romantically involved.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39.

Allegedly, the five suspects are all members of the anti-government cult known as “God’s Misfits” that had meetings at the Twomblys’ house and elsewhere. A young witness who spoke with investigators allegedly told them that the group had previously attempted to kill Butler. The witness also said that the group was responsible for the murders, as stated in the affidavit.
