14-year-old Teen Girl Shot in Head in Murder-Suicide at a Party full of Drugs in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg, FL: A 14-year-old girl was shot dead at a St. Petersburg residence by another juvenile. The shooter then shot himself in the head. According to Florida authorities, the 14-year-old girl met the suspect, another juvenile, just a month ago.
The girl is identified as Sayuri Jade Ruiz and another victim is identified as 17-year-old Hector Pfeiffer.
According to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the shootings occurred at a residence near St. Petersburg at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. The suspect was occupying the residence at the time.

Once deputies arrived on scene, they located Ruiz deceased, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Deputies also located Pfeiffer, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” officials said.
“Pfeiffer was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased at 10:16 p.m.”
Officials stated that the investigation revealed the 26-year-old owner was away from the residence and had arranged for Pfeiffer to watch the dog as per the Miami Herald.
Saturday at approximately 4:00 a.m., Pfeiffer called over Ruiz and another woman “to hang out,” according to officials. All of them met through social media apps about a month ago.
The sheriff’s office stated that an 18-year-old man from St. Pete Beach joined the group and that they “consumed alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine throughout the day.”

Pfeiffer then started waving the homeowner’s gun. They started playing with the gun and snapping pictures with it, according to the sheriff’s office.
Pfeiffer became agitated after a verbal altercation. According to the investigation, Ruiz was talking with the other woman when Pfeiffer came up to her, aimed the gun at her head, and shot her.
Pfeiffer allegedly took his own life after that, according to detectives.
