Parents Arrested After They Put 4-month-old Baby Girl to Sleep in Drawer at a Hotel in Houston; Baby Died from Apparent Suffocation

Authorities found a deceased four-month-old baby in a drawer, where she was unfortunately placed to sleep instead of a crib. The family of the little girl has been taken into custody.

The Houston Police Department has arrested the parents of a four-month-old baby who tragically passed away while sleeping in a drawer. However, charges have not been filed at this time.

According to authorities, the baby was put in a drawer for sleeping while the family was staying at a Texas Days Inn. When the baby was discovered, it was determined that she had been deceased for a significant period.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez has revealed that the baby has been named ‘Brooklyn’. Authorities have provided limited information, stating that it could take several weeks to complete the autopsy and determine the cause of death of the infant.

Authorities in Houston are currently investigating the tragic death of a four-month-old infant.

The officials reported that the child’s body did not show any apparent signs of injury. Nevertheless, the child abuse and homicide squads were summoned, as per the standard protocol for any unexpected demise of a child.

This added to a weekend filled with tragic fatalities, Texas experienced widespread destruction from powerful storms.

According to Governor Greg Abbott, around 100 people were injured and over 200 buildings and homes were destroyed in Texas. The governor witnessed the extent of the damage at a truck station near the small farming community of Valley View.

According to authorities, this particular area experienced a significant impact, with wind speeds reaching around 135 mph (217 kph).
