Day 1: Introduction to television journalism

- Analysis of a news story: structure and key elements (lead-in, stand-up, live broadcast, etc.).
Day 2: Interviews and sound bites
- Preparing and conducting a long interview;
- Working with sound bites;
- Practical tips for creating a high-quality interview.
Day 3: Expert advice
- Opinions of Russian television professionals;
- How to find newsworthy topics;
- Analysis of successful examples from practice.
Day 4: Editing and working in front of the camera
- Basics of editing television material;
- Journalistic terms and their use;
- Recommendations for working in front of the camera;
- Review of students’ work.
