13-year-old Engaged in Inappropriate Activities with 6-year-old Stepsister in Pennsylvania; Sent Videos to a Man in North Dakota; Man Sent to Prison and 13-year-old Awaits Trial
A 29-year-old man named Nicholas Anfin Nesdahl, hailing from Williston, ND, recently had his day in Federal court. He stood before District Court Judge Daniel M. Traynor to receive his sentencing on multiple charges.
These charges included seven counts of producing or attempting to produce explicit images and videos involving minors in the District of North Dakota, as well as two counts related to producing or attempting to produce and receiving explicit images and videos of minors in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Nesdahl has been handed a 30-year federal prison sentence for the charges in North Dakota, along with a 20-year sentence for the charges in Pennsylvania. These sentences will be served consecutively and will be followed by a lifetime of supervised release.
Nesdahl engaged in inappropriate behavior by connecting with underage individuals on different social media platforms. After his friend request was accepted, Nesdahl proceeded to manipulate the minors into creating explicit images and videos of themselves.
A concerned parent from Pennsylvania alerted law enforcement about the activity, leading to a search of Nesdahl’s residence in Williston, North Dakota. Through the investigation, it was revealed that Nesdahl had targeted at least seven additional victims across various states including North Dakota, Minnesota, Maryland, Texas, and New Jersey. The ages of the victims ranged from 6 to 15 years old.
An investigation into the case began in October when the mother of the teenager alerted the police about concerning videos found on her daughter’s cell phone.
Authorities have reported that a 13-year-old individual was involved in inappropriate activities with her 6-year-old stepsister. Disturbingly, the videos of these acts were subsequently shared with Nesdahl as reported by CBS News.
According to police, conversations between the 13-year-old girl and Nesdahl began last year, during which he would ask the girl for videos, initially involving sexual acts performed by herself. Authorities have stated that he expressed a desire to obtain videos featuring both the teenager and the 6-year-old child.
