Wyoming Teen Stabbed by Teens at the Mall; Was Protecting his Girlfriend from Masked Teens who are now Charged as Adults in Court

Casper, WY: A 14-year-old teen was stabbed to death by two masked teens in Wyoming.

Authorities reported that two teenagers in balaclavas masks attacked a 14-year-old Wyoming boy who was trying to protect his girlfriend in a shopping mall. The youngster was fatally stabbed with a kitchen knife.

The victim is identified as Bobby Maher and the incident happened at the Eastridge Mall in Casper on Sunday.

Maher had accused the lads, who were 15 years old, of pestering his middle school sweetheart.

The two suspects, later named Jarreth Plunkett and Dominique Harris, were allegedly following Maher’s girlfriend and a friend around the shopping complex, so he hurried to the mall to confront them, as reported in the criminal complaint.

According to the court documents, once Maher reached the mall, he attempted to remove his girlfriend and her companion off the premises in an effort “to keep them safe” while simultaneously admonishing the two individuals to depart.

The video purportedly shows Harris grabbing Maher by the waist, throwing him to the floor, and then hitting his face multiple times.

Shortly after, Plunkett intervened and, according to the accusation, was seen shoving the “kitchen-style knife” into the victim. At the same time, the two individuals in question allegedly tossed their balaclava masks and bloodied knife into the parking lot before fleeing the scene, according to the police.

The accused criminals claimed the victim had labeled them “freaks” when they were apprehended shortly after.

According to the lawsuit, they also admitted to having just taken the knife from a Target located within the mall. Plunkett faced allegations of conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree murder, severe assault and battery, and theft as per Cowboy State Daily.

Harris, on the other hand, faces charges of aggravated assault and battery, misdemeanor theft, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

At their first court appearance on Monday, the accused, who are adults facing charges, had bonds set at $500,000 and $450,000, respectively.
