Worker Fired Shots at Customers after Argument over Order Mix-Up in Florida; Drive-Thru Employee Arrested for Alleged Assault

An altercation at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Lakeland took a violent turn, resulting in the arrest of an employee.

A dispute arose when the customers allegedly believed their order was incorrect, according to the police. A video showed an employee, identified as 22-year-old Chassidy Gardner, engaging in a heated argument with customers. Gardner then allegedly threw a drink at them as they were trying to leave.

Two customers proceeded to open the drive-thru window and retaliated by throwing drinks at Gardner.

Footage captures Gardner grabbing a handgun as the customers relocate to a different area of the establishment.

In another video captured outside the business, Gardner can be seen stepping outside with her gun and firing it as the customers’ vehicle leaves the parking lot.

The police report indicates that the victims’ vehicle was involved in a collision. The presence of injuries remains uncertain as reported by NBC Miami.

Gardner was subsequently apprehended for committing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
