Woman who Shot 7-month-old Baby in Leg over Parents’ 100 Dollars Drug Debt is Arrested in Pennsylvania

Woman who Shot 7-month-old Baby in Leg over Parents’ 100 Dollars Drug Debt is Arrested in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia, PA- A Pennsylvania woman has been arrested and is now in custody for reportedly firing shots at a family, including a 7-month-old child. Tragically, the baby was struck in the leg during the incident.

The woman’s disturbing comment during the attack only adds to the gravity of the situation.

A 28-year-old individual named Dominique Billips has been arrested by Philadelphia police on a charge of aggravated assault, according to a report. Authorities shared the chilling surveillance footage on YouTube prior to apprehending Billips, to identify the perpetrator.

A woman, later identified as Billips, approached the parents and fired two shots. The father abandons his family, leaving the mother and their baby in the stroller. A horrifying incident unfolds as the shooter casually passes by the mother and the stroller, only to unleash another shot directly at them from close range.

The mother let out a piercing scream, filled with anguish and desperation, “My baby!”

Billips reportedly replied with an offensive remark before leaving the scene, “F— your baby, b—-”.

According to authorities, the baby was unfortunately struck in the leg by the shots, while the parents managed to avoid being hit. The incident took place on Thursday in the 4000 block of Meridian Street in northeast Philadelphia. Authorities reported that an individual brought the infant to the hospital. His condition is stable.

“When I find out the baby was 7 months and both parents said they have warrants. They got out the car and I took the baby. I just felt like I had to protect this child. It was overwhelming. It was scary. This person came up and didn’t care with no remorse and just fired and walked away like nothing happened,” he told the outlet.

According to Philadelphia police Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum, it took them a significant amount of time to locate the parents. According to him, the parents left out of fear of being arrested by the police.

“This looks like this all stems from a $100 narcotics debt, is what we are being told,” Rosenbaum told the outlet. “So it’s sad, you see that video, she literally points the gun at the mother of the baby — who is also a juvenile — and fires. Luckily she missed and that’s probably when the baby got hit.”

Billips is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to face the charges as reported by Law and Crime.
