Woman Shot Dead after Heated Altercation at Gas Station in Alabama; Woman Shooter Arrested after Reckless Killing

A woman has been arrested by Tuscaloosa Police in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday evening.

An incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. at the Shell gas station located at 1300 Crescent Ridge Road NE. Two women were discovered in the vicinity, both with gunshot wounds, according to TPD. Both individuals were transported to the hospital, unfortunately resulting in the passing of Lashonda Leigh Street, aged 46, due to her injuries.

Rosanna Latrice Wilson, who is 43 years old, sustained minor injuries.

Following an investigation, it was concluded by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit that the two women had fired shots at each other amidst a heated argument.

Following consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, Wilson has been charged with murder and is now in jail without bond.

The authorities are investigating the motives for the killing and have not released any further information.
