Woman found Dead on Sidewalk, Man Arrested for Alleged Murder in Hattiesburg

Hattiesburg, MS: After the body of a lady was discovered on a sidewalk in Hattiesburg on Wednesday morning, an arrest has been made in connection with the incident.

It is believed that Julio Cesar Pineda, 42, was responsible for the death of Josie Windham, 29, which occurred close to the Mark II Apartments in the 2300 block of West 7th Street. Following the discovery of her unresponsive state, the authorities decided to pronounce her dead at the scene.

Pineda was promptly brought into custody and charged with murder after the Hattiesburg Police Department concluded that he was a person of interest in the investigation. The Hattiesburg Police Department stated that the incident was personal.

No more details have been revealed by the authorities. He is currently in custody. It is not clear when he will appear for his hearing.
