Woman assaulted by Sacramento Man on International Flight to San Francisco; arrested by Cops in San Francisco

San Francisco, CA: According to federal prosecutors, a male passenger on a flight from another country to San Francisco earlier this year was sexually assaulted.

The 56-year-old Sacramento resident Rajesh Kumar Kapoor was allegedly involved in an incident involving an unapproved touching of a woman’s breasts and inner thighs on January 16 while traveling from the Republic of Korea to SFO.

Kapoor is set to make his appearance in federal court in San Francisco on May 9, according to US Attorney Ismail Ramsey. He is charged with one count of abusive sexual contact.

Prosecutors have proposed a two-year federal jail sentence and a fine of $250,000 for Kapoor, should he be found guilty.

The identity of the victim had not been revealed.
