Wisconsin Inmate gets Life in Prison for Killing Fellow Inmate at Green Bay Correctional Institution
Green Bay, WI: A 40-year-old Wisconsin man who was already in jail at the Green Bay Correctional Institution got more time for killing another prisoner. He was sentenced on Monday.
The 40-year-old Joshua J. Scolman got another life term on top of the one he already had for stabbing Timothy Nabors on October 21 with a weapon. Later, on October 26, Nabors was said to be brain-dead.
In the Brown County Courthouse, the victim’s father spoke out against Scolman for the crime he did to his son.
It was clear to the judge that he didn’t think Scolman’s mental illness had anything to do with killing Nabors. He said the strike was based on “thoughtful conviction.” Scolman fails the requirements for release.
