San Diego, CA: Southern California is in for a stretch of cooler, mostly cloudy weather through Thursday, with occasional light precipitation expected, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The highest chance of rain will arrive on Thursday as a deeper trough of low pressure moves through the region.
High temperatures on Tuesday are expected to reach 61 degrees near the coast, 62 to 67 degrees inland, 60 to 63 degrees in the western valleys, 53 to 58 degrees near the foothills, 46 to 54 degrees in the mountains, and 68 to 72 degrees in the deserts.
Windy conditions will persist in the mountains and deserts through Tuesday night, with gusts expected to reach 45 to 55 mph and isolated peaks possibly reaching up to 70 mph. Coastal areas will also experience gusty winds Tuesday afternoon and evening. Areas of blowing dust are possible in the deserts.

In addition, gale-force gusts and steep seas are forecasted over the outer marine waters, creating hazardous conditions for boaters, the NWS warned.
Forecasters predict a shift to drier and warmer weather by the weekend, with pleasant conditions continuing into early next week.
