Virginia School Employee Arrested for Allegedly having an Inappropriate Relationship with Minor: Sheriff
According to the sheriff’s office, a former employee of Giles County Public Schools has been arrested and charged with having inappropriate contact with a juvenile. The allegations stem from the existence of the relationship.
An indictment was handed down against Kristen Sierra Williams, who is 23 years old and lives in Narrows. The case was submitted before a grand jury in Giles County on July 9, and the sheriff’s office was responsible for presenting it. Deputy sheriffs have stated that this occurred as a result of an inquiry into the initial complaint that started on May 21.
According to deputies, she was charged with:
- One count of taking indecent liberties with a minor
- One count of using a communications device to commit crimes against children
- One count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
In spite of the fact that she was taken into custody on July 10, she was released from the New River Valley Regional Jail on the same day, after posting a $5,000 secured bond as reported by WSLS News.
