Vandalism Spree in Los Angeles Neighborhood; Suspect on Large
Los Angeles, CA: Police are investigating after a dozen cars were destroyed and broken into on Saturday in Westchester.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department say they got many complaints reporting broken-into vehicles or vandalism in the area between 1:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.
The first report came in at 1:45 a.m. when officers rushed to the 8300 block of Rayford Drive to investigate a recently broken-in car.
Hours later, shortly after 7:50 p.m., cops rushed to the 7600 block of W. 85th Street after discovering that eight to ten cars had been broken into.
At roughly 8:35 p.m., officers were alerted to another vandalized car in the 7300 block of 85th Street.
Officers were called back to the area, in the 7400 block of W. Manchester, at approximately 12:15 p.m., after learning of five cars that had possibly been broken into.
Investigators did not disclose any information about the event but did say they were looking into it. There was no information provided on the suspect or suspects involved.
Residents say the area is typically calm, but the incident has them on edge.
