Miamistandard– According to authorities, two males were arrested on Tuesday in Santa Rosa in connection with the shooting of a lady in the Roseland sector of the city on Monday evening. The woman died as a result of the incident.

A 911 call was made on Monday, shortly before 7 p.m., to report that a woman was hurt on the sidewalk of Whitewood Drive, which is located just north of Hearn Avenue.

When the officers arrived, they discovered a woman who was unresponsive and had at least one gunshot wound to her torso. She was declared deceased at the location where she was found.

A suspect and his car, a white Toyota Tacoma pickup, were identified by investigators. The truck was discovered parked on East Robles Avenue. Detectives discovered that the suspect, Domingo Miguel Lopez, who is 38 years old, and his companion, Floriberto Sanchez, who is 42 years old, were both staying in a room at a hotel located on the 3100 block of Santa Rosa Avenue.

Sanchez left the room on Tuesday and walked away from the motel. He was then apprehended by the police. A warrant was obtained for the motel room and the vehicle.

Around 1:30 p.m., SWAT, a hostage negotiation team, and other officers executed the search and arrest orders. Lopez surrendered calmly and was arrested, according to the police. It is claimed that a gun was found in the motel room.

Lopez was arrested and taken to Sonoma County Jail on accusation of murder, while Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact.
