Two Indicted in Tennessee for Commercial Sex Trafficking of Minors; Rape Charges Indictment also Involved by Grand Jury
Meigs County, TN- Following an indictment on counts of commercial sex trafficking by a grand jury in Meigs County, a man and a woman are currently facing multiple charges in that judicial district.
Tristin Epperson, age 25, from Rhea County, and Clarissa McKinney, age 33, were taken into custody by the authorities on Monday, according to a release issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
This is the result of an inquiry that lasted for several months and began earlier this year into the interactions that the two individuals had with a young person.
Epperson is accused of six charges of statutory rape, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor and illegally trafficking in sexual services for commercial purposes. At this time, he is being held in custody on a bond of one hundred thousand dollars.
In addition to being charged with six counts of facilitation of statutory rape, McKinney is also accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and engaging in commercial sex trafficking.
McKinney was released by the judge for her recognizance of the crime.
On the 30th of July, which is also known as World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the Texas Bureau of Investigation made the news of the arrest.
