The mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, the 12-year-old girl who tragically lost her life, expressed her surprise when former President Donald Trump spoke with her shortly before his debate on Thursday.
According to Victoria Galvan, who was present when Alexis Nungaray spoke to the grieving mother, Trump expressed his preference for talking to her before the debate.
“He was like, ‘I’m actually about to come on for a debate’ … He gave his condolences, and he said that he would be reaching back out to her,” Galvan said.
“He wanted to … say that he was praying for Alexis and that he’s been thinking about her and he wanted to reach out. He said that he was going to reach out in a couple days to her … I mean, she was really … we were all shocked,” Galvan said.
Following the conversation, Galvan mentioned that she and Alexis, who has been residing with her, were discussing how amazed little Jocelyn would have been by the former president’s interest in her story as reported by The Post.

Reports indicate that Jocelyn tragically lost her life in a horrific incident involving individuals from Venezuela. The suspects have been arrested and are facing serious charges for their alleged involvement in the crime. Jocelyn’s body was found in a bayou, and it is believed that she was subjected to a prolonged period of torture. The details surrounding this tragic event are deeply disturbing.
The two individuals entered the country through the southern border without proper documentation and were subsequently released by federal authorities several months prior to Jocelyn’s tragic death.
During the debate, Trump discussed his conversation with Jocelyn’s family and brought attention to a number of prominent crimes committed by undocumented immigrants who were released into the country during President Joe Biden’s administration.
