“Tragic Incident in Palm Harbor: Man Breaks into Home, Fatally Shoots Ex’s Mother, Commits Suicide, Deputies Report”

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says a man broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend’s mother, killed her, and then shot himself.

At about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said they were called to a report of an armed person who might have been involved in a domestic dispute.

Deputies said that the two people were found dead inside the house with gunshot wounds.

Deputies say that 52-year-old Stacey McLean was found dead in a bedroom. Darryl Serraj, who was 26 years old, was found dead in a different room. He had shot himself.

Deputies said Serraj had been seeing McLean’s daughter for five years but had just broken up with her. The sheriff’s office says he broke into McLean’s house, killed her, and then killed himself.

When police arrived, they saw a black Mercedes parked in front of another house across the street from the scene of the crime.

An autopsy will reveal the cause of death of the victims.
