SOUTHFIELD, MICHAEL – Michigan State Police say they have arrested two people they think are connected to London Thomas’ kidnapping.
On April 26, in the city of Southfield, MSP agents helped Detroit police and the FBI find a body. Later, it was found to be the lost 17-year-old.
Thomas wasn’t seen since April 5, when her sister dropped her off to see her boyfriend of 23 years. She was dropped off at a house in Inkster on Carlysle Street.
Since then, no one had heard from the missing teen.
On April 17, police and the FBI looked through the boyfriend’s house to find out what happened.
“They searched his house but didn’t find anything.” She told her mother, Jasma Bennett, “That was the last real piece of information I got.”
At that time, the police did not make any charges.
“It was terror, a terrible, terrible nightmare,” Bennett said.
People in the area have also looked near Westland’s Cooper Upper Elementary School, which is where Thomas’ cell phone last beeped. Also, nothing was found there.
UK MP Lt. Mike Shaw said, “Our thoughts are with London’s family and friends during this sad time.” There is still work to be done, even though the DPD and FBI have finished most of their probe. Our main goal is to do what’s right for London and her family. So that we can reach this goal, we will not be giving out any more details about this investigation right now.
The probe is still going on. The report will be given to the prosecutor for Wayne County to look over when it is done.
