Texas School Fight Caught on Video: Bedford Student Beaten, Head Stomped

Miami Standard (Bedford TX) – According to a viral video, a junior high school student in Texas was brutally assaulted by another student while adults made a feeble attempt to stop the violence, which culminated in a head-stomp.

According to a letter from Harwood Junior High School in Bedford, Texas, where the violent event occurred, the two children involved are pupils there, the school verified to WFAA.

Unsettling footage of the one-sided encounter shows the attacker sitting on the chest of another youngster and repeatedly striking the writhing victim’s head.

When the victim tries to stand up during the assault, the attacker tackles them and drags them back to the concrete of the school courtyard.

The little child seeks assistance from his classmates as he is being pummelling senseless, but instead they make whooping noises, watch, and record on their phones while the boy gets punched in the face and back of the head, as evidenced by the video.

The violence was not stopped by the teachers.

Two adult men, one of whom is shown on camera not setting down his thermos, approach the altercation carefully and remove the assailant without using any kind of restraint.

After the blows have stopped, the attacker gets to his feet without the adults’ help and stomps on the victim’s head, knocking him out and leaving him motionless.

For at least 20 seconds following the stomp, no one approaches to assist the victim; instead, adults are nowhere to be seen and students keep staring.

The extent of the student’s injuries and whether he needed medical assistance were unknown.

The principal of Harwood Junior High School acknowledged that their school was the scene of the widely shared brawl video and said they were looking into the incident.

“However, I want to emphasize that fighting is a severely inappropriate behavior, and this type of incident is completely unacceptable,” the principal said in a letter to parents, WFAA reported.

“The incident is being taken very seriously, including investigation of the complete sequence of events using video and interviews, surrounding context, actions of additional students and staff, and district processes related to student fights,” the letter read.

According to a Facebook posting, the Bedford Police Department looked into the event and reported it to the Tarrant County Juvenile Justice System.
