Dallas, TX: A 36-year-old woman in Texas has been arrested this week after a standoff with a SWAT team. She is accused of abusing her husband and subjecting her children to physical and emotional torture, including attempting to put one of them in a hot oven. Lul N. Top was apprehended on Monday and is facing six charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

As per a recent release by the Allen Police Department, the SWAT team promptly responded to a residence on Tanglewood Drive to carry out a search warrant and serve Top with six aggravated assault warrants. This incident occurred at approximately 8:53 a.m. on Feb. 12.

According to authorities, the investigation into Top commenced after a call was made to the police on January 8, 2024, regarding the residence where she and her family had been residing for approximately a year. The incident occurred when Top reportedly took hold of a piece of wood from a door frame within the residence and proceeded to repeatedly strike her husband, leaving her six children in a state of shock. According to reports, Top’s husband was visibly injured in the attack.

The children were taken from the home by Child Protective Services.

Investigators delved into the alleged attack on the husband and proceeded to interview Top’s six children. This led to the emergence of further allegations of physical abuse against Top. The most disturbing accusation claimed that she deliberately attempted to roast her 3-year-old child in the oven.

According to the affidavit, during the investigation, the 3-year-old reported that Top had attempted to place her inside a hot oven. The child then mentioned that the oven was causing pain. The 4-year-old sibling of the toddler recounted the incident involving the oven and confirmed its high temperature.

After Top’s 10-year-old child intervened and physically intervened in the situation, Top finally relented and the toddler was taken upstairs to safety.

Investigators reported that the bodies of both the 3- and 4-year-old children showed marks that resembled knife cuts. Authorities were informed by both children that “Top had used a knife on them to make those marks.”

After her arrest, Top was taken to the Collin County Jail and is currently being held on a bond of $600,000.

During her interview with police, Top vehemently denied any allegations of child abuse.
