Texas High School Teacher Arrested after Allegations of Inappropriate Relation with a Teen Student, Girlfriend show Text Messages as Evidence to the Police
Cypress, TX: A high school teacher was arrested after he was alleged to have inappropriate relations with a minor student at his workplace.
The teacher is identified as Kayden Burbank. He was a high school teacher in Cy-Fair.
The school placed him on administrative leave on April 2. He later resigned from his position on April 9.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday on felony charges as per KHOU.
Court records indicate that beginning in February, Burbank engaged in a sexual connection with a student who was fifteen years old. There were rumors that they might get together in his class and leave together for a hotel in the area.
According to investigators, Burbank’s girlfriend discovered the relationship after she saw text exchanges between him and the student on his phone.
he is currently held in jail and his bond is set at $60,000.
