Texas Double Murder suspect arrested in Cedar Park

Cedar Park, TX: Police authorities in Texas nabbed a 21-year-old Memphis fugitive Devin Trust was apprehended in Cedar Park, Texas, following an extensive search for him in connection with an alleged cold-blooded double homicide.

CBS Austin reports that Trust was apprehended by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at a domicile on Colonial Parkway, Texas, subsequent to a multi-state manhunt led by U.S. Marshals.

Trust is accused of a December gunfight at a car wash in Memphis, which resulted in two fatalities and two others receiving critical injuries. The incident occurred during an attempted drug transaction and firearms exchange that went awry.

The victims, according to an arrest affidavit, recognized Trust and two disguised accomplices with whom they had agreed to trade a firearm and sell marijuana when the assailants opened fire.

FOX 7 Austin has obtained information indicating that Trust sustained leg, genital, and abdominal injuries as a result of a retaliatory shot from one of the victims.

The documents also disclose that surveillance footage from the tragic incident captured Trust helplessly firing into the car as he collapsed to the ground. The Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force requested the assistance of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in locating the suspect, Trust, after receiving a warrant for his arrest on March 3. Trust was wanted on suspicion of two counts of homicide and two counts of criminal attempt.
