According to authorities, three teenage girls are being charged with a crime after they allegedly attempted to stab their mother for shutting off the WiFi.
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence on Barkers Crossing Avenue in Houston on Monday, March 24th, for a disturbance.
There, deputies discovered a mom who had been beaten by her three teenage children, aged 14, 15, and 16, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzalez claimed that the three unnamed siblings “allegedly coordinated a plan to try and kill the mother.”
He said that “all three grabbed kitchen knives and chased her throughout the house and into the street, attempting to stab her” after the woman, who has also not been named, turned off the WiFi.
According to him, the mother was also allegedly hit by a brick.
He claimed that while attempting to defend the mother, the grandma was struck down in the process.
Neither the grandmother nor the mother suffered any significant injuries.
After being taken into custody, the three teenagers were accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Harris County Juvenile Detention Centre received bookings for all three.
Whether the teenagers were still being held, had entered pleas, or had hired lawyers was not immediately apparent.
