Teen Boy Arrested after Missing Tennessee Teen found Dead in Forest: Police Say

Tragically, just one week after the disappearance of a 17-year-old in Tennessee, another teenager has been charged with her murder.

A 17-year-old male has been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the tragic death of Trinity Bostic, as announced by the Hendersonville Police Department in a press release. The identity of the male suspect was not disclosed by the police.

According to police, Trinity’s disappearance was initially reported on June 29 in Macon County. According to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies have been gathering information and have managed to track her whereabouts to a location outside the county. Efforts to contact her proved fruitless.

After four days of searching, her remains were discovered on July 3 along a roadway in Hendersonville by a diligent worker collecting trash, as confirmed by Hendersonville police.

The cause of Trinity’s death is still under investigation by authorities as reported by PEOPLE.

The teenage suspect, who hails from Westmoreland, Tennessee, is currently in custody in Sumner County, according to law enforcement officials.
