SUV Strucked a Light Pole and Turned into a Fire Ball, 2 Passengers Rescued

Leesburg, Virginia: Two adults were critically hurt on Saturday night when a car hit a light pole. Following the collision, the car caught fire. They were on Battlefield Parkway when the accident happened. Officers were informed about the collision at around 5:30 pm, and they reached the location promptly.

Investigators revealed that the SUV had hit a light pole while traveling south on Battlefield Parkway NE near Potomac Station Drive NE and East Market Street (Route 7).

The SUV was carrying one passenger along with the driver. Both were critically hurt because of the collision and blaze afterward. The driver is a 40-year-old male accompanying a woman in her 40s.

For medical attention, both of the injured persons were flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter. As of right now, both are in stable condition.

As authorities conducted an investigation and cleanup, a portion of the southbound Battlefield Parkway remained closed on Saturday night.
