Spokane Police Nabbed Thief who stole Blind’s Woman Braille Mobile Phone

Spokane, WA: A man was arrested by the Spokane Police Department for reportedly stealing a blind woman’s cellphone on Feb. 21.

Malcolm Davis allegedly approached a blind woman in downtown Spokane around noon and requested money. Allegedly, the woman refused to give Davis money, so he grabbed a Braille cell phone from her and ran away.

Officers located Davis, who reportedly resembled the descriptions provided by witnesses, and discovered the victim’s cell phone in his possession.

Davis faces charges of felony theft and an outstanding burglary warrant. He is presently incarcerated at Spokane County Jail.

This incident highlights the dangers that blind people face. However, such burglaries pose several threats even to normal humans without any disability.
