South Carolina Police Chief Busted with Prostitution Charges during Undercover Operation, 9 individuals also Arrested

Atlantic Beach, SC: Police Chief Quentin Robinson of Atlantic Beach was one of ten individuals taken into custody on Tuesday and arraigned in the Horry County prison on charges of misdemeanor prostitution, according to authorities. The operation had originated in the Myrtle Beach region.

Prison officials released the 41-year-old on Wednesday morning after he paid $500.

Robinson allegedly gave an undercover agent $120 at a location on 21st Ave N. in return for “sexual favors,” as stated in an incident report by the Horry County Police.

A person may spend up to 30 days behind bars and pay a fine of up to $200 for a first-time prostitution conviction.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division reported that the arrests were an outcome of a coordinated effort by law enforcement in Horry County as per The Sun News.

Records from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy show that Robinson has been an employee of the agency since 2015. He worked at the Florence County Detention Center from 2012 to 2015 before joining the department.

Except for Jaime Cordero-Carrillo, who was also accused with drug possession, all of them were charged with prostitution.
