Smoke Detectors Saved 8 Lives in Sacramento; No Injuries Reported
Sacramento, California: 4 people and 4 dogs came out of their homes on time before a fire. The smoke detectors alarmed them and they safely made their way out. After that, they called the firefighters.
The incident happened in a duplex in Sacramento County and occurred early Monday morning.
Just before three in the morning, Metro Fire of Sacramento workers arrived on the scene along Venuto Way.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered that four dogs, one person in another room, and three humans in one unit had all safely evacuated after hearing the smoke alarms.
Before the flames could spread to both units, they were promptly put out. The incident resulted in no reported injuries. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
