Shooting Victims Identified by Authorities after They Died in Spokane Shooting Incident
Spokane, Washington: Two people who died on Friday in Spokane have been identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
Kiara Morgan-Weiland and Colton Russell died in the shooting that occurred in Hillyard, Spokane on Friday. The former is 23 and the latter was 37 years old when died.
The Spokane Police Department received reports of gunshots on Friday night at around 11 pm. When they reached the crime scene, they discovered Morgan-Weiland lying on a nearby road and Russell inside a car.
They were pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. The incident happened close to Cleveland Avenue and Cuba Street.
Furthermore, the police department stated that there is no proof that this was a murder-suicide. The SPD acknowledged that they had a suspect in mind and they are actively seeking the suspect.
The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is looking into this occurrence. The manner of the death is blood loss due to gunshot wounds. The police authorities have not established any relationship between the two.
