Semi Truck trapped inside Underpass on Kings Highway, Police managed the traffic
Brooklyn, NYC: A semi-truck failed to pass through the King’s Highway underpass last night due to its size and became trapped there.
Many people from Brooklyn stopped to watch in amazement when this occurred at the Q/B station. The police arrived quickly to manage the flow of traffic.
It’s interesting to note that there was a big 12-2 sign on the bridge when the truck arrived, which should have alerted the driver not to pass through it.
Known colloquially as “can openers,” these bridges have become notorious for the infamous impact that frequently mimics the opening of a can, resulting from collisions between overheight automobiles and the bridge structure.
This suggests that the truck driver had a forgettable evening, and whoever owned it will now have to face the logistical challenge of attempting to restore its roof.
Such big trucks are banned in NYC, but this truck managed to barge into the city and got trapped in an underpass.
