Miami Standard (San Antonio, TX) – Early on Tuesday morning, a dramatic car pursuit took place on the Northeast Side.
Just before 7:30 a.m., San Antonio Police began pursuing a white Honda that might have been stolen.
Before making his way to I-35 close to New Braunfels Avenue, the driver reached unsafe speeds while travelling through a neighbourhood. Police chased a suspect for nearly 20 minutes, with the car aggressively changing lanes, backing off, and weaving among traffic cruisers at speeds that may have reached over 100 mph.

On the busy roadway, police cruisers were observed backing off, presumably to avoid posing a risk to other motorists. The San Antonio Police helicopter allowed the police to track the car.
Eventually, the motorist pulled over in the Arby’s parking lot at the intersection of Northeast Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel.
Officers were seen brandishing their firearms and issuing orders to the male driver, who eventually exited the vehicle with his hands raised.
The suspect was arrested by the authorities.
