Rotten Corpse of Missing Woman Found in Plastic Bin in Arkansas; Suspected Killer Arrested for Gruesome Killing
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery of a woman’s remains in a plastic bin on a remote Arkansas road, according to the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities have apprehended Micah Lacy, a 45-year-old resident of Forrest City, on Thursday. Lacy now faces serious charges including first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and a felony weapons charge.
The defendant’s bond has been set at $1 million, and he is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
A lifeless body was found in a plastic storage container on February 20 by a group of teenagers enjoying a ride on their four-wheelers along St. Francis County Road 731. Her family reported that the 42-year-old had been missing for approximately one month.
According to Forrest City Police Chief Ronald Broussard, Strope was a familiar sight as she often rode her bike around Forrest City as reported by WREG News.
Broussard tragically lost her life just as she was making progress in rebuilding her life as a mother of three. Sheriff Bobby May revealed that authorities had identified a person of interest in the case towards the end of February, but chose not to disclose any additional information at that time.
Additional arrests are anticipated in the ongoing investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
