Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips Gang Member Sent to Prison after Trial in New Jersey after a Pile of Racketeering Charges and Drug Charges
A member of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips gang has been sentenced to 178 months in prison for his involvement in a racketeering conspiracy, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.
Tyheim Terry, also known as “Ty” and “Rollin’ Ty,” is a 25-year-old individual who has previously admitted guilt before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton. He pleaded guilty to a superseding indictment that included charges of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy, carjacking, and brandishing a firearm in connection with the carjacking. The sentence was imposed today by Judge Wigenton in Newark federal court.
Based on the documents submitted in this case and the statements made in court:
Between 2015 and Sept. 22, 2022, Terry was associated with the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, an organization involved in violent activities and the illegal distribution of controlled substances in the District of New Jersey and beyond. On Feb. 21, 2021, Terry collaborated with accomplices, including individuals associated with a certain group, in an endeavor to forcibly take possession of a vehicle from a victim. On April 5, 2021, Terry collaborated with fellow members of the group to harm another individual. On April 11, 2021, Terry committed an act of violence by brandishing a firearm and forcibly taking control of a vehicle from a third individual.
