A couple in Chicago experienced a frightening incident while on a date in the Streeterville neighborhood on Friday.

A husband and wife were walking on the street when they found themselves surrounded by a group of teenagers on Friday evening near Grand Avenue and McClurg Court.

Nina, the woman, recounted to the outlet the brutal assault she endured, describing being kicked, stomped on, and repeatedly punched. She discovered she was pregnant two weeks before the incident, only to learn later that she had suffered a miscarriage.

Nina documented her injuries with a series of photographs. The images reveal visible injuries, including a chunk of hair being pulled out and a bruised eye, resulting from the assault.

According to her, her husband was also subjected to a brutal attack by the group, who restrained him during the assault. According to her account, the teenagers allegedly employed pepper spray and physically assaulted her.

The victim stated that the attack was not a robbery.

“No theft occurred.” They confidently claim ownership of the street. We dominate the street. “You are not allowed to walk around.” I was dressed in a stylish outfit, complete with a dress and heels. While on a date with my husband, my dress was unfortunately dragged on the ground by someone who claimed ownership of the street. “And they were making statements that were completely unfounded because they lack personal knowledge of me,” Nina stated.

“You can’t just walk around prancing in your little dress,” one of the teen said to Nina.

At 9:17 p.m., police officers swiftly responded to a call regarding a battery in progress. The Chicago Police Department reported that a 14-year-old male offender assaulted a 40-year-old male victim by striking him in the head. A 17-year-old girl involved in the incident grabbed the victim’s hair. No information was given about her age.

The victims received treatment at the scene but chose not to seek additional medical assistance, according to the police. Two teenagers were apprehended and charged with a misdemeanor battery offense.

The Cook County State Attorney’s Office has yet to provide a response to inquiries regarding potential additional charges for the suspects.
