Portland Police Arrest Man Linked to Missing Sacramento Teen
Isabel Gallego, who disappeared from Sacramento earlier this year at age 17, has been located after police in Portland, Oregon, apprehended the man she was reportedly with.
The Sacramento Police Department released a statement on Thursday evening, providing limited information about Gallego’s condition and the circumstances of her discovery. According to a recent social media post by the police, they have confirmed that she has been found safe and sound. They are now working on arranging her reunion with her family.
Gallego, who is now 18, was reported missing in April. According to authorities, she was reportedly in the company of Kyree Jackson, 25.
Kyree was located and arrested by the Portland Police Bureau, according to a post by the Sacramento police.

Jackson’s booking at the Multnomah County jail was completed shortly after 9 p.m., according to records. The Oregon facility’s roster did not include any charges, and authorities have not yet specified what charges Jackson may face. The police did not disclose any information regarding the connection between his arrest and Gallego’s disappearance. According to recent reports, there are two warrants in Sacramento County for Jackson. These warrants are related to serious charges, including illegal possession of a firearm and theft of a motor vehicle.
Gallego, a high school senior in an independent study program, was last seen by her parents on the night of April 19. According to her mother, Julie Gallego, the teenager left her phone in her room and was only carrying a backpack.
During an interview with The Sacramento Bee, Julie Gallego shared insights about Isabel, describing her as a person with a vibrant imagination. Gallego mentioned that Isabel had a penchant for experimenting with different hair colors, and it was noted that her hair was green at the time she disappeared. According to her mother, Isabel was also involved in Sacramento’s punk rock scene.
According to records from the Sacramento Superior Court, it appears that Jackson failed to attend pretrial proceedings in his criminal case and tampered with his court-issued ankle-monitoring device, causing it to become disabled.
According to Julie Gallego, her daughter had encountered Jackson approximately two weeks prior to her disappearance. Gallego also mentioned that the teenager’s friends were familiar with Jackson and referred to him as “a pimp.” The mother also mentioned that her daughter tends to trust people easily, which she believes may have been a contributing factor in the situation.
Isabel Gallego’s whereabouts were reportedly traced from Sacramento to Portland and eventually spotted in Seattle, as per police reports. Due to her age, she was considered at-risk, and Officer Anthony Gamble, a spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department, stated that investigators suspected her to be a victim of human trafficking.
