Police Chase on New Year’s Day Ended With An Arrest On Multiple Weapons Offences in Rochester

Rochester, New York: After a chase on Monday, New York State Police arrested a Rochester man for multiple offenses.

The New York State Police tried to conduct a traffic stop on a car at about 2:45 p.m. The driver committed a traffic violation.

When the driver of the car disobeyed the officer, the police began chasing him around the city.

When the driver struck an SUV at the intersection of Culver Road and I-490, the pursuit came to a halt.

The officers immediately surrounded him and later arrested him. The authorities have revealed the identity of the arrested man. The man is a Rochester resident and is 27 years old. According to documents, his name is Dontayvius Gordon.

Gordon was later charged with multiple weapons charges.
