Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day: Flag Half-Staff Announced for Thursday

Governor Jim Pillen announced that all flags (including state and national flags) in the state of Nebraska will be flown at half-staff on Thursday.

A request was made by the White House for the same. Each year in the United States, 7th December is the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

“On this day, 82 years ago, we recall the sacrifice and bravery of 2,403 American heroes who gave their lives in service to our nation. We are all forever grateful to the greatest generation, which conquered evil triumphantly fought for the world during WW2,” said Pillen.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also directed the same.

Flags will be flown at half-staff in the honor of all the heroes who laid down their lives defending the United States during the Pearl Harbour Attack of 7th December 1941.

Other state governor also announced the same including the Governor of Virginnia, Glenn Youngkin and Governor John Carney of Delaware.

“We owe a debt of gratitude to all who have defended our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom,” said Gov. Carney.
