Over 100 Immigrants Arrested in Raid on Illegal Colorado Nightclub Staffed by Active-Duty Military

After an overnight raid at what the police called a “underground nightclub in a strip mall,” more than 100 immigrants who were in the country illegally were arrested in Colorado Springs.

At a news conference on Sunday morning, Jonathan C. Pullen, the Special Agent in Charge at the DEA Rocky Mountain Division, said, “What was going on inside was major drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes.” “There were a lot of guns that we took.”

About 12 active-duty soldiers were also at the club during the raid, and federal officials said some of them were working at the illegal business. Pullen said, “Some of these crimes were done by active-duty service members who were in charge of security at the club.”

Pullen said that drugs like cocaine and “tusi,” or “pink cocaine,” were also found at the basement club.

Pullen said that the DEA and partner agencies had been watching the bar for “a number of months.” He said that they had seen drug dealing, prostitution, and people who were thought to be members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and the Hells Angels.

As for whether those members were there tonight, Pullen said, “I don’t know. We’re still working through a lot of that because we have so many people in custody.”

“This Sunday morning, Colorado Springs will be a safer place to live,” he said.

Pullen said that hundreds of agents from more than 10 government agencies took part in the raid. The DEA said on X that the operation was carried out with help from the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the Department of Homeland Security, and local police.

The Rocky Mountain Field Division said on X that DEA agents let people know they were there before they went into the bar and gave them multiple warnings to leave. “There were 200 people inside, including at least 114 people who were in the US illegally.” Also, more than a dozen soldiers were either customers or security guards, the report said.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested the people they thought were in the US illegally, according to Pullen. The active-duty soldiers were then given to the US Army Criminal Investigation Division to check out.

The DEA put a video online. On Sunday morning, federal agents broke a big front window of an unremarkable building while people ran out the door into the night, but were stopped by more armed federal agents.

On another DEA video, agents can be heard telling people inside the building, “These are the police with a search warrant demanding entry.” Leave the front door one at a time while holding nothing above your head. After the message, there were Spanish-language directions.

In a post on X, Attorney General Pamela Bondi said that two people were taken during the raid on outstanding warrants.

She wrote on Facebook, “Trump’s order to make America safe again is working!”

CNN has talked to ICE about the Colorado Springs raid to find out more.

CNN was told by a representative for the Army Criminal Investigations Division that the division was working with the DEA on the probe. The DEA was the lead agency. A spokesperson said, “Because this is still being investigated, we cannot give you any more information at this time.”

President Donald Trump praised the raid and said on TruthSocial that it went after some of the worst people in the US, people he said judges don’t want to remove.

With a video of officials entering the building, President Trump wrote, “Last night there was a big raid on some of the worst people who are in our country illegally. They are drug dealers, murderers, and other violent criminals of all shapes and sizes, and judges don’t want to send them back where they came from.” Our country will end as we know it if we don’t win this case in the Supreme Court. It’s going to be a crime-filled mess. “MAKE THE USA GREAT AGAIN!”

On Sunday, Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade, who was elected as an independent, also praised the effort. He said, “Any kind of criminal activity from anyone will not be tolerated in Colorado Springs.” There is strong proof of serious criminal behavior, which is why these warrants are being carried out.

The office of Democratic Colorado Governor Jared Polis said in a statement to CNN station KRDO that they agreed with cracking down on illegal drugs and guns. “Governor Polis wants to make Colorado a safer place for everyone. One way he plans to do this is by cracking down on guns and illegal drugs.” We need to hear more about this move from the DEA and the federal government.

The Trump administration’s plan to remove a lot of people has been challenged in court.

In the beginning of this month, the Supreme Court stopped deporting aliens who might be affected by the Alien Enemies Act.

At the same time, the Justice Department has said many times that it will look into any local officials who don’t help federal agents with immigration issues.

It was charged last week that a Milwaukee County Circuit Judge helped an undocumented immigrant avoid being arrested. One of her peers called it “a message to chill the judiciary.”
