Ohio Judge Sends Mother to Jail for Brutally Killing 3-year-old Son; Foster Mother Grieving after Tragic Loss

A Cleveland lady, age 31, was found guilty of murder for the death of her kid, who was three years old, during the summer of last year. She will spend the rest of her life behind bars as a result of the conviction.

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office reports that Tammeka Eggleton entered a guilty plea to the charges of murder, felonious assault, and endangering children last month. The charges stem from the fact that she was responsible for the death of her son, Curtis Witcher.

According to the office of the prosecutor, Eggleton “provided false information about the events leading up to the death of her child.”

“His mother gained custody from his foster parents who raised and loved him, and she promptly beat him to death,” said Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley. “She deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison.”

The boy’s foster mother, Michelle Moody, spoke in court during the sentencing, telling Eggleton that she was “tired of you blaming your childhood and your past for your actions.”

After serving between 31 and 35 years in jail, Eggleton will be eligible for rehabilitation and parole as reported by a local news outlet.
