Newborn Twins put up for Sale by Kansas Parents just for $5000, Arrested by Authorities after offer made to relative who exposed them to cops
Topeka, KS: Authorities in Kentucky detained and charged a couple who reportedly attempted to sell their newborn twins to a relative for thousands of dollars.
The Jackson County parents allegedly agreed to sell their newborn daughters to Zachary Davis’ sister-in-law for $5,000, prompting an inquiry into the couple. This information was referenced in an arrest report by WAFB, the Associated Press, and Fox 13. The arrest occurred on March 18, according to the AP.
To bolster her accusations, the relative allegedly provided authorities with screenshots and a video of the purported discussion.
According to WAFB’s reporting from the police report, the pair admitted to the deal but said they wouldn’t follow through while being questioned.
The mother claimed in a video that she wasn’t serious about the attempted sale, while the father said that he had “joked around” about selling the babies, according to the AP.
After that, human trafficking charges were filed against Davis and Keith, and they are currently being imprisoned in the Jackson County Detention Center.
They may have hired lawyers to represent them or filed pleas, but it is not apparent which.
