Nebraska Winter Storm Left Many Trucks Jackknifed on I-80; Advisory Issued by State Patrol

A Winter storm has created slick-like conditions and heavy snowfall on Interstate 80. Many trucks on the I-80 between Grand Island and Lincoln Nebraska were jackknifed on Monday.

A semi-truck went sideways on Monday afternoon and caused a traffic halt on the interstate route.

The state officials in Nebraska advised drivers to exercise additional caution when driving on icy roads.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation released a picture showing at least two semi-trucks that had jackknifed, obstructing over a dozen other trucks on the snow-covered road behind them.

State Patrol also issued a black ice alert on X (Twitter). The department advises the drivers to drive slowly so as not to lose control of the vehicle.
