Nebraska Teacher Caught Red-Handed for Sexual Abuse after She was found in an Inappropriate Condition in a Car with a High-School Teen
Douglas County, Nebraska: Police said they caught a teacher “putting on her clothes” after they saw a teenager run away from a car while naked. The teacher is identified as Erin Ward. She is married and has 3 children with her husband.
People in a neighborhood in Douglas County, Nebraska, were concerned when they saw a suspicious car parked on a dead-end road at 3 in the morning.
Per the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, it was at that location that officers discovered a high school teacher from Omaha, Erin Ward, “putting her clothes on in the back seat,” and a teen fleeing the scene in the natural state.
Ward, the employee at Burke High School, allegedly confessed to having sexual relations with a student, who was 17 years old.
The teen was discovered an hour later by the police in her underwear, a T-shirt, and socks; the sheriff’s office reported that Ward was detained and charged with sexual assault by a school employee.
A maximum of twenty years in jail is possible for the felony offense. No charges of statutory rape were brought against her because the legal age of consent in Nebraska is 16.
Following Ward’s apprehension, principal Darren Rasmussen of Burke High School addressed the media.
“We are writing to share that law enforcement has arrested a metro-area substitute teacher for inappropriate conduct with a minor,” Rasmussen said in a statement. “The individual worked at Burke High several days during the 2023-24 school year.
The teen driver attempted to evade the approaching police by crashing into a neighboring yard before escaping on foot, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
After the crash, both Ward and the teen student were questioned and sent to the hospital for minor injuries as per FOX News.
The police have stated that the inquiry is still ongoing.
