Lancaster County, NB – On Wednesday, a child abuse case against a daycare center in Lincoln made progress.
A judge sent the matter to district court after 46-year-old Tiffany Frye waived her preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court.
Intentional child abuse is the charge against Frye.
According to court filings, she operated a daycare center out of her house in southeast Lincoln. The address is the same as the one Tiny Toes Infant Care has on file.
According to court filings, Fry became irritated on September 18 while putting a 4-month-old boy in a baby glider.
Police claimed that Fry pulled too hard on one of his legs, causing a snapping sound, and that he refused to straighten them.
According to an arrest affidavit, the infant cried the remainder of the day.
According to the police, that aggravated Frye even more.
According to the complaint, Shen then purposefully placed the infant down too forcefully on a changing table, injuring the baby’s skull.
Later, the baby’s mother took him to a hospital in Lincoln after seeing that her son’s leg was limber.
He suffered a subdural hematoma in his head and a shattered femur, the doctors found.
According to the police, the boy had to be sent to Omaha’s children’s hospital.
On April 30, Frye will be arraigned in Lancaster County District Court.
