Murder Suspect Hits 105 MPH in Chase, Crashes Into Bus Stop Before Arrest in Las Vegas

Miami Standard (Las Vegas, NV) – A suspect in a murder case has been apprehended following a police pursuit that concluded in east Las Vegas. The chase happened on Thursday morning, as reported by the officials.

Authorities have identified the individual as a suspect in a murder case originating from North Las Vegas, according to Undersheriff Andrew Walsh with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The suspect is now thought to be linked to three carjackings.

A initial accident has been documented close to Spring Mountain Road and Interstate 15, involving the vehicle linked to the homicide. During their response, officers discovered from an individual present that they had been the victim of a carjacking involving a firearm.

Authorities suspected that the individual responsible for the murder was also involved in the carjacking. They utilised the license plate tracker from LVPMD to find the stolen vehicle, which resulted in a pursuit, according to Walsh.

Law enforcement chased the car along the Boulder Highway route. A man exited his vehicle and proceeded to carjack another individual at a fast food establishment close to Tropicana Avenue.

The suspect accelerated to a staggering 105 miles per hour as he fled the scene. A helicopter from LVMPD tracked the vehicle as it collided with a bus stop, resulting in critical injuries to at least one individual.

Following the collision, the individual stole a vehicle from a third party and entered the rear seat. Authorities apprehended the individual after colliding with the vehicle on Sahara Avenue, according to Walsh, leading to his arrest.

Authorities continue to probe the extent of the incidents linked to the suspect and the number of individuals affected. He projected that sections of Boulder Highway affected by the chase would be shut down for a number of hours.
