Moved from New Mexico to Missouri after Trans-Inclusive Closet introduced at her Daughter’s High School

Rachael Hein elected to relocate her family from New Mexico to Missouri subsequent to becoming aware of the contentious notions surrounding a local high school’s gender-inclusive “closet” and similar practices.
Hein disclosed to Fox News Digital how she came across what she termed “the transgender closet” at her daughter’s high school in Las Cruces Centennial.
The gender-inclusive closets, according to Hein, were the result of years of dissatisfaction with the public education system.
She increased her involvement in the education of her four children, alternating between homeschooling and online learning, as soon as the pandemic broke.
After her children resumed their academic pursuits, she commenced devoting more time to their education.
She objected to the school district’s decision to add ten additional school days to the 2022-2023 calender in order to compensate for the closures caused by the pandemic.
Hein and other parents expressed their discontent with the decision, labeling those days “party days” in which no substantial academic work was accomplished.
Gwen Warniment, Deputy Secretary for Teaching, Learning & Assessment at the New Mexico Public Education Department, defended the extra days during a town hall meeting by stating that children needed to spend “more time with the adults who matter” and that “those adults who matter are the teachers in their classrooms.”
After voting in favor of the additional days, the school boards failed to respond to their complaints and were unhelpful, according to Hein.
In contrast, Hein praised Missouri for its more welcoming institutions and community toward her and her younger children.
