Mother Handcuffed at The Mall After Body of 9-year-old Daughter Discovered at Home
26 November 2023: To conduct a welfare check, the police arrived only to find the dead body of a 9-year-old girl. The police arrested the mother of the deceased at a nearby shopping complex on Black Friday.
Khadiyjah Aliyyah Ali Pendergraph, 32, was arrested on the suspicion of murder after her daughter was found dead. A relative asked the police to conduct a welfare check at their Westminster home.
The identity of the girl is not disclosed yet. According to the police, the body has signs of injury and trauma. Khadiyjah is now being held in the Orange County Jail.
Darin Lenyi, Westminster Chief Of Police said that the incident is very disturbing as this child is suspected to be killed by the hands of her own mother.
