Mother-Daughter Stabbed to Death in Florida, Mother’s Boyfriend Arrested for Gruesome Killing
Tampa, FL: Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister stated on Thursday that a Florida man was apprehended following allegations of murdering his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter.
According to Chronister, Angel Gabriel Cuz-Choc, aged 31, has been formally accused of two instances of first-degree murder with a weapon in relation to the fatalities of Amalia Coc Choc de Pec, aged 36, and Estrella Anastasia Pec Coc, aged 4. These individuals’ bodies were found on Wednesday at their mobile residence located in Dover, Florida, situated to the east of Tampa.
Due to the gory nature of the crime scene, authorities initially believed that the victims had been fatally assaulted. Subsequent inquiry uncovered that the infant and woman had been subjected to a “forceful” stabbing.
According to prosecutors, Coc Choc was found in a prone position beneath a tarp in the backyard of the Dover residence. Estrella was located in a compact body of water within a bathtub located within the residence, and the water continued to flow.
According to the detention motion, it was reported that both victims had sustained stab wounds.
Investigators noticed a blood trail extending from the back of the mobile home to the backyard, as well as a fingerprint on a grill outside. Prosecutors argued that this evidence suggested that Coc Choc had been forcibly transported outside.
According to the petition, the surveillance film purportedly depicted Coc Choc expressing distress through vocalizations while being transported into the yard.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, investigators believe that the homicides occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, coinciding with the time when a neighbor reported hearing a woman’s cry. Upon arriving home at approximately 5:30 p.m. that day, a roommate swiftly dialed 911 upon encountering the deceased individuals.
According to Cuz-Choc’s brothers, he admitted to the murders immediately after he escaped, attributing the violence to the revelation that Coc Choc had spent “three hours with a friend instead of her designated hour and a half.” According to Chronister, Cuz-Choc, the wife, and her child arrived in the region from Guatemala within the past year.
Based on a news release issued by the sheriff’s office, it has been reported that Cuz-Choc purportedly admitted to the homicides during an interrogation conducted by detectives.
