Mother attacked Husband with Broom after he injured 3-month-old Infant Son in New York
New York City, NY: A brave mother attacked her husband after she found that he hit their 3-month-old baby.
The incident happened in the East Harlem area of New York City. The mother retaliated and grabbed a broomstick and started beating her husband as he was assaulting the baby.
The New York Police Department arrested the man and transported the injured mother and infant son to the hospital.
After the attack, which injured the infant’s head, neck, and leg, he was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he remained in stable condition.
The boy was assaulted by a 51-year-old man who was reportedly arguing with his 26-year-old wife, the child’s mother, just after midnight near the intersection of East 101st Street and First Avenue.
It is not clear whether the man is the biological father of the infant or not.
According to the authorities, the mother defended her child by striking the assailant with a broomstick after he assaulted the infant.
The man escaped after suffering a cut to his leg. According to the police, he eventually came face to face with NYPD officers, who he falsely said had shot him in the leg.
He is currently being detained in custody while charges are pending.
They were both taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where his mother was treated for a cut on her right arm and then discharged.
